These Terms govern your use of VentOff, an India-based supportive listening service that connects you with trained human listeners. By booking or joining a session, you agree to these terms.

1. Service description

VentOff provides anonymous, non-clinical supportive listening via audio/video calls. This is not therapy, counselling, medical treatment, or crisis intervention.

2. Eligibility

• You must be 18 years or older.
• You must provide accurate booking information.
• You agree to treat listeners with respect and maintain appropriate boundaries.

3. Listener standards

• All listeners are vetted and background checked.
• Trained in emotional intelligence and active listening; supported with ongoing training and wellness resources.
• Required to maintain appropriate professional boundaries.

4. No recordings

Sessions are not recorded by VentOff. Recording a session yourself is prohibited unless all parties expressly consent.

5. User conduct

• Be respectful; no abusive, harassing, hateful, or illegal content.
• No sharing of others’ personal data without consent.
• VentOff may end a session that breaches these rules.
• Understand this is not therapy or professional counselling; seek appropriate professional help for serious mental health concerns.

6. Not a crisis service

If you are in crisis or at risk of harm, contact local emergency services or crisis helplines. VentOff listeners do not provide emergency response.

7. Payments & refunds

• First session is free (30 minutes).
• Subsequent sessions are charged per the pricing structure shown at booking.
• Refunds may be provided for technical issues or inappropriate listener behavior.
• No-shows are charged according to the cancellation policy.

8. Privacy

• Sessions are confidential but not legally privileged.
• No session recording without explicit consent.
• Anonymous or aggregated data may be used for service improvement.
• In emergencies or safety concerns, confidentiality may be broken to provide appropriate help.

Your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. We collect minimal personal data and do not sell it to third parties.

9. Intellectual property

VentOff owns the platform content, brand, and materials. You may not copy or reuse them without permission.

10. Disclaimers

VentOff provides the service “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee outcomes, availability, or error-free operation.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, VentOff is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the session in question (if any).

12. Third-party services

Session links (e.g., Teams/Google Meet) and payment processors are third-party services governed by their terms.

13. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India shall have jurisdiction, subject to applicable conflict-of-law rules.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms; the latest version will be posted here. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
